Use the LYMA Laser as a face massage tool to give your skin the best workout of its life
Investing in hi-tech epigenetic skincare that addresses skin’s 8 aging mechanisms is smart. Incorporating the unrivalled power of the LYMA Laser using face massage techniques, is genius. By understanding how to manipulate the skin at the lower levels, this is how you can push results even further, achieving sleeker facial contours, supercharging skin into making collagen at an even faster rate, and switch skin from cellular decline into regeneration mode.
Face massage makes your skin more receptive to skincare ingredients
When it comes to skin rejuvenation, the benefits of daily facial massage are endless. Not only does it promote increased blood and oxygen flow and cell turnover, it also helps the skin better absorb LYMA Skincare's unprecedented volume of actives. Daily face massage applied with firm pressure, purpose and specificity.
If you apply proven skincare actives, work your facial muscles, and have a nutrient dense diet that feeds those muscles, you will 100% look ten years younger.
Start using your LYMA Laser as a face massage tool
We’re all busy, so the best skincare routines and hacks are those that fit it into your lifestyle and optimize the efficacy of each step. Try giving yourself a facial massage right after your double cleanse in the morning before applying your LYMA Skincare.
Using the gua sha contouring approach, move the LYMA Laser in small circular movements along the length of the jawline, working from chin out towards the ear and repeat going up in a different angle along the face. Then, starting from the chin again, work the Laser up the sides of the mouth following the nasolabial folds, then when you reach the nose creases, glide straight out the side of the nose towards the top of the ear in deep, circular movements.
For every move you perform, repeat as a mirror image on the other side for a total of 15 minutes in the morning and — if possible — 15 minutes in the evening.
Truly youthful skin has strong scaffolding
For profound structural change to define and contour skin, you have to go deep. Manipulating the facial muscles and fascia, (the thin casing of connective tissue that holds everything in place), the ECM (extracellular matrix) and getting all the way down to bone structure.
To achieve structural improvements that define and contour the skin, you need an effective tool. The LYMA Laser is designed to enhance your skincare routine by massaging across different layers of the skin and fascia. This at-home device, typically reserved for clinical settings, complements facial manipulation techniques by offering consistent, high-level performance, which supports visible improvements in skin firmness and overall appearance.
In fact, you can’t rely solely on epidermis and dermis. Even if you smooth out wrinkles and the lines over time, that’s not enough. You need to address the tissue underneath. Increasing collagen and elastin production from the basal layer feeds the epidermis and gives it its power. Muscle and bone is the scaffolding that supports everything else above, and it might even surprise you to learn that skeletal muscles secrete hormones that significantly rejuvenate skin. While some people naturally have prominent bone structure, others can work toward enhancing their appearance with the LYMA Laser, designed to complement their skincare routine.
5 of the best facial massage techniques using your hands
1. The full-face pinch
After applying the LYMA Cream, allow sixty seconds for the actives to penetrate and the formula to fully absorb into the skin. Whilst that’s happening, do a three-finger pinch all over your face and neck using your thumb, index and middle fingers. This pinching action gets the blood flowing and is reminiscent of a 1930’s Parisian technique that Coco Chanel used to get done religiously by her favorite facialist for a full hour.
2. Acupressure to get rid of eye bags
Using the same pressure as you would your middle finger, press the LYMA Laser on acupressure points all around the eyes to release toxins. Hold for five seconds at points around both periorbital eye socket bones to smooth out fine lines and bring down inflammation.
3. The 5-minute ‘neck-flix’ massage
This one is so good for your emotional well-being it will make you feel like a brand-new person. Whilst you’re watching TV in the evening, place the Laser on the back of your neck, directly on top of the first knobbly vertebrae, then glide it up and down, whilst tucking your chin into your chest. After five minutes, switch to the front of the neck and this time glide the Laser in horizontal bands, from the base of the neck to just under the jaw.
Keep swapping from the first motion to the second and back again for a whole episode of your favorite show. To target neck wrinkles, you can also move the Laser in large circular movements from the breastbone upwards and outwards towards each ear.
4. Release brow tension
Again using the principles of acupressure, hold the Laser at the inner corner, middle and outer points of each brow bone for 30 seconds. Then, starting from the middle of each arch, apply pressure and stretch the eyebrow out towards the hairline. Repeat this ten times on each brow and the firm pressure and stretching motion will effectively release tension.
5. Forehead massage to smooth out worry lines
For this, we use the index and middle fingertips rotating in unison, first anticlockwise and then clockwise in little circular movements. We do this both horizontally and vertically, working over those forehead lines almost as if you’re erasing them, which in a sense, you are. Copy this massage technique exactly using the LYMA Laser, and you’ll also benefit from the laser light therapy lessening expression lines too.
