The following protocol should be used daily until you have received the results you are looking for, for keloid and older scars you may need to use the LYMA Laser for longer than the average three month treatment cycle. After which you should follow twice weekly to maintain results. Don’t forget to take a picture of the area you are treating to compare results as you progress along your journey.
1. Spray six pumps of the LYMA Oxygen Mist over the area you are treating.
2. Dispense six pumps of the LYMA Oxygen Glide over the treatment area.
3. Hold the LYMA Laser for three minutes per area, then move to the next area to be treated. Follow this video tutorial HERE to understand how best to use the LYMA Laser on scars.
4. Dampen the sponge in water and carefully remove the Oxygen Mist and Glide product using a circular motion. Rinse well and leave the sponge to air dry.
The LYMA Laser will work on the majority of scars, including keloid. Older, very prominent raised keloid scars will take time to soften and flatten but we advise customers to perservere as they will get the results they are looking for but it may take up to six months. If you're unsure if the LYMA Laser will work on your specific skin concern do contact Concierge, we are here to help.
You'll find case studies of using the LYMA Laser on scars in our journals including this case study on smoothing acne scars.
The LYMA Laser has been engineered to be easy to use and needs no technical or clinic experience. Simply place the LYMA Laser flat onto your skin and glide over the area you wish to treat. You'll find how to use information on the How To Use pages on our website and introductions in your LYMA Laser Starter Kit.
The LYMA Laser has engineered the power of a 500mW near infrared cold laser coherent light for home use. The laser makes photo biomodulation possible for at home use, this is the process of inducing the regeneration of tissue by the application of light energy. In addition to being polarised, laser light, when interacting with living tissue, exhibits a phenomenon called speckle, which amplifies the intensity of the stimulus making it effective at inducing the regenerative processes through the entire depth of its penetration. This is not the case with LED-based light sources which loses effectiveness as it penetrates tissue.
The power of the LYMA Laser remodels the skin from the base layer up through the dermis smoothing wrinkles and imperfections and adding a healthy glow.
As a general rule we advise people should use the LYMA Laser daily for around 3 minutes on each treatment area for three months to see maximum results, and then twice weekly to maintain these results. Using the LYMA Laser on older scars and on more mature skin may mean longer daily sessions and using the laser of a longer period. Concierge is available to help devise a bespoke skincare protocol and provide a virtual online consultation.
