Nichola recommends the revolutionary LYMA System to her clients. Possibly the most effective skin renewal system ever created, LYMA’s at-home laser device is designed to effectively boost skin elasticity and targets wrinkles, scars, skin redness, pigmentation and blemishes.

The three-part LYMA System turns everything you thought you knew about at-home skincare on its head and is the only clinic-grade laser system that you can use at home. The LYMA Laser represents a new dawn for skincare.

We caught up with Nichola to chat about skincare routines, laser treatment, supplements, anti-aging and preventative skincare.

LYMA: What are some of the most common age-related skin concerns facing your clients?

Nichola Joss: Pigmentation, skin redness, acne scarring, aging skin and sagging.

L: What can young people start doing now to protect their skin from the effects of aging and inflammaging?

NJ: Having a good skincare regime that includes facial massage, having professional facial appointments and getting professional skincare advice tailored to the individual. Using a system like the LYMA Laser and making sure their diet is clean and high in alkaline foods. Pre- and probiotic skincare is important, as is taking a daily probiotic supplement. Celery juice is also really great for reducing that inflammation that can cause premature aging.

L: What can people whose skin has already been affected by aging do to turn back the clock?

NJ: By combining facial massage with regular use of the LYMA Laser people will notice a reduction is pigmentation, wrinkles, scarring and other skin problems. Ensuring that you use regular facial massage alongside will help to sculpt and tone your muscles and facial contours. I would also highly advise using probiotic skincare products (I love Esse) to help re-wild your skin. Finally, I always advise my clients to have regular skincare consultations to ensure they’re using the right products for their skin as it changes with seasons and age. Consultations can be done in clinic before a treatment or virtually via video call.

L: What are your daily skincare non-negotiables?

NJ: Thoroughly cleansing followed by toning, hydration and moisture. Pre- and probiotic skincare which strengthens and supports the skin barrier, improves the skin’s defenses and encourages a strong and healthy microbiome to protect it against the elements.

L: And what about weekly and monthly? What do you do religiously to ensure that your skin stays in great condition?

NJ: I have a Sunday facial session every week without fail. This is where I take time to thoroughly address my skin and give myself a facial massage. I also use my LYMA Laser at least a couple of nights per week to maintain the changes that it’s made to my skin.

L: Do you recommend a certain diet or specific foods to your clients to help improve their skin?

NJ: Yes absolutely. What you put into your body is just as important as what you put onto your skin. Probiotics are super important as our gut health can have a big impact on our skin. My go-to probiotic is Symprove. High-grade supplements such as LYMA are key to keeping your skin glowing and in great condition. I also advise my clients to cut out as much alcohol, sugar and dairy as they can reasonably manage, and to incorporate as many alkalising and immune-boosting foods into their diets as possible.

Not everyone has time for regular facials. What can you recommend that people do at home to mimic some of the effects and get that all-important glow?

NJ: Use the LYMA Laser, definitely; it was created to deliver clinic-grade results in the comfort of your own home. I’d also recommend booking an online virtual facial massage tutorial, a bespoke skin consultation with a professional, or a virtual step-by-step at-home DIY facial session. These are all great ways to benefit from a clinic-grade and professional-led facial in the comfort of your own home.

L: Which ingredients do you love the most in LYMA Supplement and why?

NJ: The patented ingredients in LYMA are all amazing and work together to promote beauty and health. When used together with the LYMA Laser, the results are truly mind blowing.

L: What is so special about the new LYMA Laser?

NJ: It's the first-ever clinic-grade at-home device which not only works on all skin colours but targets an array of different skin concerns. I also love the fact that using it requires no down time, it is not in the least bit aggressive on the skin, and it doesn’t cause any pain or side effects. It’s going to change the beauty industry.

L: What makes LYMA's new laser system so much better than other treatments on the market when it comes to reducing pigmentation, skin redness, blemishes and wrinkle depth?

NJ: The fact that it is totally non-invasive and doesn’t rely on inducing stress on the skin in order to achieve results. This means that there is no need for downtime or recovery time between uses, it causes no pain, and it doesn’t cause any redness, swelling or other side effects. Plus, changes to the skin will become evident even after using the laser for a relatively short period of time. Indeed, it is a joy to use and the results are phenomenal.
